Description

Cantina Giorni is a winery in Basilicata that lives in the National Park of Appennino Lucano, in the quiet and uncontaminated mountain area of Pignola, at 850 meters a.s.l. in a terroir with northern climate and southern sun. The company was founded in 2009 with the intent to realize the dream of a grandfather passionate about red wine that has invested over the years all its energy to preserve and pass on the gifts of the land from father to son. Nicola Maria Patrone, nephew of his namesake, accepted the challenge and kept the promise made to his grandfather. Family tradition, passion and determination have survived for 3 generations representing the strong point to continue to dedicate themselves to the land and its bunches of grapes, first investing on black berry vines such as Cabernet Sauvignon in Basilicata and then on white grape vines, such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon in the eastern area of Friuli
