Vistorta

Vistorta is a historical village situated in the region of Friuli, in the northeastern part of Italy. The estate has been in the ownership of the Brandolini family since 1780. The current estate, which includes a farm and winery, was created by Guido Brandolini with a long term vision to modernity. In 1985, Brandino Brandolini, inspired by Bordeaux standards, introduced a winemaking revolution to Vistorta by implementing a project with the aim to produce a great age worthy red wine: Merlot Vistorta. The range of production includes both red and white varietal wines, typical to the Friulian tradition with the classic Conte Brandolini label. In 2005, the Vistorta project converted to organic farming. The entire farm, which counts some 200 hectares, was totally converted to organic farming and certified as such starting from vintage 2009. The old vines of Merlot are dedicated to the production of Vistorta Merlot that we have been ageing carefully in the cellar for more than 20 years, collecting wonderful vintages.
