Description

From 1897 we produce Barolo in the heart of Cannubi, in Barolo, in Family. Even today, after 120 years of history and tradition, the winery maintains an absolutely familiar and all-female character: the fourth generation Anna and Paola Borgogno, and now the fifth generation Federica Boffa and Emanuela Bolla are all actively involved in the day to day operations. Every aspect from the vineyard to the cellar is followed entirely by Emanuela and her father Marco Bolla, with the invaluable help of a consolidated team, which is now an integral part of the Borgogno family. Emanuela and Federica, have decided to continue the family business by joining the traditions, passion and roots of past generations. This passion translates into the search for details in the vineyard and in the cellar, to enhance and safeguard the authenticity of the vintages and the individual vineyards, with the utmost respect for terroir and biodiversity. We ferment in big wooden vats called "Tini" and we use large Slavonian oak barrels, having a capacity of 25-50hl, as to follow the traditions of our predecessors.
