La Contralta is a wine company founded in 2019 in the Gallura region of north-eastern Sardinia whose aim is to produce fine, elegant and long-lasting wines from traditional grape varieties of the island. Our production philosophy is based on oenological minimalism and sustainable agriculture. The project focuses on respect for nature, the landscape, the land and the fruit. We produce wines that are first and foremost authentic. The cornerstones of our production philosophy are elegance, cleanliness, drinkability, agreeability and longevity of our wines. We wait long time before releasing our product onto the market. We didn’t want to rush things. We believe in the longevity of Vermentino di Gallura and we offer it at its most expressive and complex, at least one year after harvest.
