Antonelli San Marco
Colli Martani (DOC)
Montefalco (DOC)
Montefalco Sagrantino (DOCG)
Amongst the oldest winery estates of the denomination, Antonelli San Marco has been owned by the homonymous family since 1881. Composed of 190 hectares (469 acres) in the heart of the DOCG area of Montefalco. Since 2009 it converted to certified organic farming for all its productions. The clayey and limestone-rich soils, with different geological origins, form austere hills surrounded by woods, with an ideal microclimate for the grapevines and the olive trees. Ten hectares are dedicated to olive groves, while about fifty are dedicated to vineyards, mainly oriented to the south and west. The underground cellar accommodates gravity fed vinification. We also offer wine tourism hospitality. “Casale Satriano” has 6 independent appartments with a swimming pool. Surrounded by a beautiful panorama, and very relaxing. Recently the winery undertook the breeding of free-range pigs and the production of cured meats. It is also possible to organize truffle hunting in the woods of the estate. Finally “Cucina in Cantina”, the cooking school of Antonelli offers cooking lessons of Umbrian cuisine, lunches and dinners upon reservation for groups, wine tastings and guided tours of the estate.
