Starry Glasses, the most important summer event in Friuli Venezia Giulia focussing on wine tasting, has come its 14th edition. The aim of the event, organised by Movimento Turismo del Vino Friuli Venezia Giulia and supported by the Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Province of Udine and Cassa di Risparmio del Fvg, is to promote Friuli, both as a stunning location and as a home to great wines. Wine lovers and tourists will be the protagonists of the initiative, promoting the culture of good quality food and wine.

Wine culture is the pillar of the Starry Glasses nights, a one-off opportunity to meet wine producers who will present their wines matched with local food. This year Starry Glasses will unfold on Wednesday August 10th in Grado, on Friday August 12th in Majano and on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th in Rosazzo, from 7.30 pm to 12 pm.
In Grado, on August 10th - the night of San Lorenzo, visitors will meet Friulian wine producers and taste their excellent wines in the area Giardino del Municipio, just a few metres from the sea, close to the enchanting Riva Nazario Sauro. Wine lovers will toast with Friulian and international wines in a relaxing atmosphere in the old part of Grado.
In Majano, on August 12th, a tasting area will be set up in Piazza Italia. Visitors coming to Majano for the Festival organised by Pro Majano will seize the opportunity both to enjoy the music live show by Roy Paci e Aretuska (free of charge) and to taste some of the best Friulian wines.

In Rosazzo, on August 12th and 13th people will taste Friulian wines matched with local food, such as Montasio cheese, San Daniele ham and Friulian olive oil in the wonderful location of the Rosazzo Abbey, in the Colli Orientali del Friuli wine appellation area. The fantastic nights in Rosazzo will be made even more fascinating thanks to the music played by Jazzinduo and other fantastic musicians.

The location fitting in Grado and in Rosazzo will be organised by Asdi Sedia, which will propose a Manzano design exhibition.
To take part to the tasting sessions, people will be required to buy a special kit. The cost of the kit is 6€. Upon buying the kit, people will receive a wineglass, a wineglass bag and could taste up to three wines. The money raised by the selling of the kits will be given to the charity association Associazione Sport Cultura e Solidarietà.
We would like to thank for their support the following bodies: the municipalities of Grado, Manzano, Corno di Rosazzo and San Giovanni al Natisone, Asdi Coltello Maniago, Latterie Friulane, Acqua Dolomia, Ristorante Catering Da Nando, Madimer, Imoco Arti Grafiche Friulane.
