Cantine Aperte 2015 in Molise: tourism and wine make for a winning combination at the 10 participating wineries of Molise (Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31)

30/05/2015 In Molise, the event featuring wine and its territories will focus on ten wineries that will open their doors to wine lovers and wine tourists from morning to evening with tastings as well as cultural and recreational events

There is much anticipation for the 23rd edition of Cantine Aperte, the wine event organized by Movimento Turismo del Vino Molise. An initiative that sees growing participation from winemakers and over a million wine lovers and wine tourists ready to visit the various wineries and to be enchanted and stirred along the wine trail.

Drink what you See & See what you Drink: this is the theme that will accompany all the initiatives and events in 2015 by Movimento Turismo del Vino Molise. This slogan, which made us famous, has lead to the evolution and development of wine tourism and all connecting businesses over a period of twenty years. Starting from the original idea by Open Cellars, truly one of a kind, a philosophy and lifestyle have been created. Our producers have taken a lead role. By uniting their professional expertise and love for wine, they have been able to introduce the general public to the world of enology in a simple way offering them a diamond mine of precious information and succeeding in relaying their history and interesting facts, and therefore revealing the backstory. Our wineries, which were the first to open their doors, have made today’s wine tourist a person who is aware, not just only curious, but eager to know the cellar, its products and territories.

In line with the Expo 2015 slogan, “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life” – this year’s theme will put all the Movimento Turismo del Vino Molise initiatives in the spotlight even more to promote our products and territory. Open Cellars is the most important wine celebration in Italy. It is the event that cannot be missed by operators, wine lovers and tourists interested in knowing about the fantastic and captivating winemaking world.

Participating Movimento Turismo del Vino wineries in Molise will open their cellar doors on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31 for an ideal journey of wine and will offer unique experiences while exploring their hilly landscapes that are ideal for making great wines with the DOC Biferno Molise, Tintilia and IGT Terre degli Osci.

As is custom, each participating MTV Molise winery will enliven the event with tastings of their top wines paired with typical products of the region, entertainment provided by folk groups, art and artisanal exhibits in the cellars, guided tours of the vineyards as well as of the main sights in the Molise territory.

In this way, Open Cellars 2015 promises to be a special day to discover Bacchus’ drink and a day for Movimento Turismo del Vino Molise to promote wine from Molise and enrich wine culture by educating young people to drink well and responsibly. Increasingly interested in the much-anticipated event dedicated to world of Bacchus are the wine lovers, producers, newbies, and simple explorers of taste who wish to delight their palates as they toast with a glass of excellent Made-in-Molise wine.

“Wine and tourism, a winning pair,” affirms MTV Molise President, Gabriele Di Blasio, “which we must keep working on in order to continue with this activity of promoting our products. [It is] a way to make the quality of our production in all of its phases and the structures that make the transformation of the product possible known.”
