Movimento Turismo Vino: national preview of “Calici di Stelle” July 31 with a special colour along the Grand Canal in Venice

31/07/2015 For the first time, the MTV summer event is going totally white in the City on Water: over 100 labels from all over Italy in a tasting at the Casinò di Ca’ Vendramin Calergi gardens

Total white for Calici di Stelle that debuts on Friday, July 31 in Venice with a national sneak peek of the event along the Grand Canal. For the first time, the Movimento Turismo del Vino event (August 4-10 nationwide) will meet the magic of the lagoon city for an evening featuring wine tastings and live music in the Casinò di Ca’ Vendramin Calergi garden.

Over one hundred bottles, selected by MTV and Veneziaeventi, from all over the country will be opened for tastings and paired with finger food from the Marcandole di Salgareda restaurant (from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. for €20 per person). In keeping with the theme, the dress code is total white. Revealing the secrets of the skies will be experts from the Unione Astrofili Italiani who, after Venice, are getting ready to point their telescopes to the skies from August 4 to 10 all over Italy at MTV wineries and in the main squares of wine cities, Città del Vino.

In the year of the World’s Fair in Milan, there will also be a stop at the VINO Pavilion – A Taste of Italy, thanks to the partnership between Vinitaly and Veronafiere. There will be seven evening Calici di Stelle at Expo appointments daily from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Symposium room which will feature MTV wines from all over Italy (entrance into the wine pavilion is free, but the MTV wine tasting including wine glass and pouch costs €10).
