Mastroberardino (Movimento Turismo Vino):

03/03/2014 This is how the national President of Movimento Turismo del Vino commented on the appointments of Dario Franceschini to Mibact and Maurizio Martina to Mipaaf

A few days after the new government was sworn in at the Quirinale and the traditional handing over ceremony from outgoing Prime Minister Enrico Letta to new Prime Minister Matteo Renzi at Palazzo Chigi, the President of Movimento Turismo del Vino, Daniela Mastroberardino, expresses her approval for the appointment of new ministers Dario Franceschini to the Ministry of Cultural Assets and Activities and of Tourism as well as Maurizio Martina to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry.

“I am convinced that it will be possible to start up a constructive dialogue to work in synergy and contribute to further success in a sector, that of food and wine tourism, which, with its annual €5 billion, represents an additional gain to the Italian economy and a strategic asset for Italian goods worldwide. In this sense, Movimento Turismo del Vino has been involved in the integrated promotion of the territories by pairing food and wine with art, a framework and events that Italy is certainly rich in. A choice which is revealing itself to be a winner in reaching more and more Italian and foreign tourists who choose the Boot as their ideal holiday destination. So I hope for active participation by the institutions and by all the those involved in the wine tourism field to undertake, through a single steering committee, a virtual path of growth in this sector of equal value to the other top Made-in-Italy assets, like fashion and culture.”
