Cantine Aperte 2014 in #TrentinoAltoAdige: Sunday, May 25 dedicated to

25/05/2014 Cantine Aperte is back once again in Trentino Alto Adige on Sunday, May 25: the event in Movimento Turismo del Vino wineries which will welcome over one million people from wine connoisseurs to wine tourists to discover the culture of wine right where it is produced

“See what you drink” is the theme chosen for the 22nd edition which will see the thousand MTV wineries ready to celebrate from North to South on the last Sunday in May with tastings, tasting tables and initiatives all based on the two words, wine and friendship. The Movimento Turismo del Vino Association is a non-profit organization and includes about 1,000 among the most prestigious wineries in Italy, selected on the basis of specific prerequisites, first of which is the quality of wine tourism hospitality. The main goal of the association is to promote the culture of wine through tours in the places where wine is produced.

The Movimento would like to make the tourists more aware of what happens in wineries in addition to providing an example of how to do business while respecting traditions and safeguarding the environment and quality agriculture. “Cantine Aperte,” states President of MTV Trentino Alto Adige, Carlo Filiberto Bleggi, “confirms itself as the main event in Italy for wine connoisseurs to learn about the culture of wine as presented in the cellar right from its producers, but also to share in a friendly, authentic and eclectic experience in touch with nature, art, music.

A day of values such as friendship, solidarity and respect for the environment.” Given the success of last year’s edition, the “2nd Enobus” (wine bus) will be back once again. The tenth edition of “Classic Wine & Spirits” will also be celebrated this year, a vintage car event organized by the Scuderia Trentino Storica which will pass through some of the most beautiful locations starting from Cantina di Trento with the traditional closing at Cantino di Borgo dei Posseri. Cantina Aperte in Trentino Alto Adige is also solidary: participating cellars will donate a part of the wine tasting fees to AIL (Italian Association against Leukemia).
