Toast with Classic Italian Wines on Valentine’s Day Trend confirmed by survey on the most romantic day of the year

Wine lovers have always chosen great Italian reds to toast on Valentine’s Day. This is the trend, which has been consolidated and confirmed by a survey about the expected drink-of-choice on the most romantic day of the year. Dinner on February 14th will be better for two and by candlelight accompanied by wines from Tuscany and Piedmont such as Brunello, Barolo, Barbaresco and Chianti Classico, which dominate the rankings, confirming that red wine is intertwined with the idea of love. Immediately following the other great “hot-blooded” wines such as Amarone, Barbera, Sagrantino di Montefalco, Aglianico and Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. But it doesn’t end here. There are those who prefer whites (Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc in the lead) for the most romantic day of the year. And for those who are all alone on Valentine’s Day? For a “good-luck” toast to future dates and to new love, wine lovers choose “bubbly”. And you? What nectar are you going to toast with in the company of your loved one?
