01/03/2014 Puglia promotes its wines and its quality wine and food tourism.

Puglia will be present again at this year's edition of ProWein from 23rd to 25th March. The German trade fair is increasingly important on the international wine scene, and attracts increasing numbers of buyers, wine traders and international journalists from all over the world. This makes it an important event for the promotion of Puglia's quality wines - for strengthening the region's presence on the German market and for seizing the opportunities offered by other foreign markets.

This year's edition will see extraordinary participation by wineries from Puglia, with a grand total of 43 wineries present inside the official exhibition area of Regione Puglia's Agro-Food Resources Office and Unioncamere Puglia in Halle 3.

The DE.S.A. (German Sommelier Association) and its partner the Movimento Turismo del Vino Puglia, will keep the 'enoteca' area inside the official Regione Puglia stand busy with wine-tasting 'made in Puglia' – guided by expert sommeliers. This is where visitors can obtain information about the region's wine-growing sector and about wine tourism opportunities, getting to know the territory and its wines better.

Another prestigious showcase for Puglia's wines comes in the shape of three wine tasting events, dedicated to Nero di Troia and Primitivo, Whites and Rosés, and Negroamaro, with an in-depth look at the region's wine-growing territories presented by three expert speakers:
