Primitivo di Manduria and Malvasia del Salento charm Canada one more time

Canada is a really wine-welcoming country and it is known as a 'wine loving nation' with a particular eye on Italian wines, especially the red ones. For this reason, a lot of Italian wineries are interested in exporting to Canada. Such a prestige originates from great loyalty, constant commitment and, above all, deep passion that Italian producers direct to their own production.

In Canada, such an important merit has been given to Varvaglione Vigne e Vini by the famous Canadian wine expert Michael Pinkus. He tasted and judged a variety of international wines and, further to other Italian wines, he appreciated Papale Linea Oro-Primitivo di Manduria DOP from our Salentine winery and he graded it 4 ½ out of 5 stars.

Furthermore, also this year our white wine 12 e mezzo-Malvasia del Salento IGP has been awarded a Silver Medal at the Canadian wine competition Sélections Mondiales Des Vins.

This is a new important prize that, in addition to all other prestigious awards, strengthens the well-known high quality of the Varvaglione Vigne & Vini production. This result makes the Varvaglione Vigne & Vini winery proud of both their own wine cultivation, inspired by old family traditions, and an efficient and dynamic team made of expert co-workers.
