Premium Wine Tastings and Events are the Stars on August 10,the Night of San Lorenzo in Italy’s Piazze

Once again this year, Wine Under The Stars is back.  On the night of August 10 in Italy, there is the tradition of looking at the sky to see falling stars, the “shower of San Lorenzo’s tears.”

To celebrate this special night, Wine Under The Stars offers wine lovers the chance to taste premium wines with the guidance of famous enologists or professional sommeliers in historic centers, piazzas, castles and courtyards of surprising beauty in 150 towns in various wine districts throughout Italy. The wines are matched with top-quality traditional products of each region.  To reinforce the extraordinary bond which also exists between wine and art, Wine Under The Stars includes jazz and classical music concerts, theatrical performances and even historical parades and fireworks.

Wine Under The Stars, a traditional summer event, was created by the Wine Tourism Movement working closely with the National Association of Wine Towns.  The night of San Lorenzo offers both tourists and residents the opportunity to admire the extraordinary artistic and enological heritage of the participating areas under the light of the stars.
