“Cantine Aperte”, Open Cellars: is back! The most important wine event in Ca’ Lustra is designed by Movimento Turismo del Vino and returns in May for its 27th edition.
In the past few years we enriched our event by hosting in our cellar food producers from another region. This year we chose Associazione Calabresi Veneto, which promotes Calabria with typical food. You will enjoy these typicities together with our wines and, of course, you will be offered guided visits to the vineyards and to the cellar…plus some surprises.
HOW THE DAY IS ORGANIZED
H 10.00 visit to the vineyards
H 10.30 opening with wine tasting
H 11.30 opening of the “Archipelago of tastes” from Calabria
All day long there will be guided visits to the cellar with the owners.
Ca’ Lustra’s forecourt will turn into a “taste square” offering the chance to try all our wines and many food dishes, for a “Slow” day.
With the entrance ticket of 10 euros, which includes the wine glass with pouch, you will be offered free tastings of all the wines.
There will be a rich selection of dishes from which choose your favourite ones and buy them on-site.
As usual, we provide exclusive offers for the “Cantine Aperte” day on all wines: 10% off for every purchase of 6 assorted bottles or more, 15% off for purchases of single-label whole boxes. During the event, we will provide even more advantageous offers.
GUIDED TASTINGS
News this year: we organized two interesting guided tastings in our new tasting room.
The tastings are for free, but we ask for reservation. Each tasting will be held two times, 20 people per tasting.
• Verticale Moscato Secco ‘A Cengia: different vintages of our dry Moscato: 2014-2015-2016 and 2017 as a preview. H 15:30 or 16:15.
• Magnum from Ca’ Lustra: Sassonero 2012, Girapoggio 2012, Natìo 2009…and there could be a surprise. H 17:00 or 17:45.

SHUTTLE SERVICE
In order to facilitate access we will provide a free shuttle service from the Church of Faedo (500 mt distance). You can easily park there and comfortably reach the winery. Service active from 12:00 to 19:00.
The event will be held also in case of hard weather.

Wine tasting “Mastro cantiniere per un giorno” (“Wine maker for one day”)
As usual, the day before Open Cellars we organize a wine tasting. This year it will be really special: you will not only taste wine, you will step into the shoes of a wine maker and will produce your own wine starting from 5 different white wines.
We will divide you into little groups of 4-5 people and you will have the tools of the trade:
5 different wines (taken from the barrels), a measuring cylinder, a pipette and some empty glasses to start the “game” and create your favourite white wine.
We will create our wine from the same bases, too. It will be curious to discover the different interpretations in the end.
The group that will receive the greatest comments will receive a gift: the first two bottles of the “new born wine”
