Boscaini Carlo
Our winery is found in the classic and historic region of Valpolicella, in a small valley particularly well know for the cultivation of grapes for fine wine. Our winery covers an area of 14 hectares over looking the famous village of St. Giorgio Ingannapoltron , known around the world for its marvelous ancient church, cloister, and archeological excavation. In the beginning, the late Carlo Boscaini (who lived to the venerable age of 102 drinking wine in modest quantity but high quality) produced wine with great passion from leased land. He succeded in aquiring this winery in 1948, and then with his son Arturo Ernesto, worked with care and passion in the production of the grape and it s transformation into wine. In our day, his young nephews Carlo and Mario continue this old and passionate pursuit. In memory of and gratitude to the grandfather, the winery still bears his name today. The vineyards are cultivated with INTEGRATED SYSTEMS (minimum use of chemical products). We sell the wine to private clients, some lifelong and some occasional (we have some tresured clients of 50 years). We produce about 45.000 bottles of tipical Valpolicella wines. Good Wine and Genuine is our motto.
From Highway A22, follow Highway until you reach the end (9 km) in valpolicella region and turn left at the roundabout. From Sant'Ambrogio roundabout, take the exit towards the town centre and the showground. At the church, before the road rises steeply, turn right between the church and the bell tower. Just before the graveyard on your right, turn left at the shrine and follow the narrow road, turning left again at the water trough. Turn right soon after and go up the steep drive to the estate.
