The winery was built in the second half of the 19th century when Prince Boncompagni-Ludovisi left Rome to dedicate himself to the art of wine production. Amilcare Pambuffetti became the third owner of the estate when he bought Scacciadiavoli in 1954. While maintaining its original architectural and structural elements, the winery was renovated and modernized in the year 2000.
